Created logical and physical data model with entity relationships to create a denormalized schema to report on healthcare quality and survey data. Using physical data model, created DDL statements to generate new reporting schema. I worked with the client to gather requirements as part of a new data migration process. From those requirements, I created a project plan and task list to capture each of the nuances required to perform a successful data migration.Created SSIS package that imported accounting daily transactional data and budget related data. Packages included tasks to rebuild reporting table indexes and update database statistics.Performed data modeling on reporting table by adding columns that would be used to categorize each transaction into user defined account categories/subcategories and determine report order for each transaction.Created series of tabular SSRS reports with sortable columns and grand total row. Reports were also linked to sub-reports that allowed the user to drill down to view results from a more detailed view. Tabular reports included various user selected parameters and cascading menus. Then, parameterized stored procedure were created and put in place to accept the user’s chosen criteria to return the desired results.Also, created set of matrix style SSRS reports that pivoted and aggregated the result set. This report made use of expandable and collapsible rows for easier viewing. Each row and column group were accompanied with a subtotal that provided a summary of aggregated costs for each row column pair. Once expanded, this report displayed a more detailed list of transactions that made up the subtotal.Evaluated report query performance by reviewing missing index data management views for query index recommendation. Also, reviewed query execution plans for each reporting stored procedure to determine which indexes should be created to improve overall query performance.

Migrated client data from legacy SQL Server Database to new database schema using SQL Server SSIS. Also, responsible for coordinating migration schedule with clients and setting up and conducting training classes on new software.Created and configured a second SQL Server Instance on production database server. Created stored procedures utilizing MERGE statements to populate client data warehouse. SQL Server jobs were then created to schedule the stored procedures to refresh the client data warehouse on a nightly basis. Developer on Factory Operating Systems (FOS) project that involves creating interfaces between the mainframe CinCom Control manufacturing system and a new next generation manufacturing system called Visiprise Manufacturing (VM). In addition, VM would be combined with a common data warehouse repository for end user reporting.Created and modified UNIX and NAWK scripts to load positional delimited files FTP'd from the Control legacy system into VM. The UNIX scripts were written to facilitate the loading process of data files sent from Control. The NAWK scripts were created to process each record in the file. Once each record was processed, XML tags are produced which were then used as input for VM Oracle tables.Also, used SQL*Loader to load additional data files sent from Control into data warehouse tables. Created required data warehouse tables residing in an Oracle environment using DDL.
