Monitoring of network LAN and WAN connections throughout the Region, as well as server uptime & availability for services including Electronic Patient Records, radiology/nuclear medicine servers, etc., to ensure greater than 99.9% uptime. Daily shift reports required to be filed which show drive space availability for radiology/nuclear medicine servers, patient database servers, back up & test servers, as well as LAN/WAN uptimes, and notifying the appropriate personnel of any issues R3OC personnel are unable to handle, and updating customers as needed. Fielding of and triaging calls and e-mails on a 24/7 basis (including Federal Holidays) from medical centers & VISN’s regarding any emergencies that may arise from server or network crashes in which local IT personnel are unable to resolve the issue. Notifying Regional and Federal IT and Veteran’s Affairs senior leadership of any emergent issues that would require their attention. Provided coverage during holidays and other shifts as needed. Ran weekly reports of tickets with Crystal Reports, and providing information to upper management, showing types of issues affecting medical centers and VISN’s and providing input and recommendations as to improvements. -
