I love the idea that great innovations find their root in creative thought. Some actually believe that creativity not only drives innovation but also human evolution - the fact that we can imagine something and then make it real. My life and career has been shaped by my need to create, question and find new perspectives. During my career that started as a student in BA Fine Arts (Information Design) at the University of Pretoria and now spans 30 years, I have had the opportunity design and create original art and to lead in production, creative direction, strategy and client service. To sum it up, I have submerged myself in every aspect of this industry and was fortunate to find many opportunities to live out my passion and add value to brands, and people alike. I had the privilege of cutting my teeth on brands such as Vodacom, Sappi, Panasonic, Police, Dimension Data, Sasol (Chemcity), Bausch and Lomb, Alcon, Boston Scientific, Medtronic. Later on, I was leading campaigns and directing creative work for local and international clients such as Bayer, BASF, SAPPO, Komatsu SA, Monsanto, Medihelp, Henkel SA (Pritt), KK Animal Nutrition, Molatek Animal Feed, Afrikaans.com.My work experience is varied and so are the industries I have serviced, but my first love has always been creative direction and strategic work and this is where I have honed my skills over the past 20 years. Today I apply myself as creative director and brand manager. I take care of the Envision Africa brand I have been entrusted with and fill my free time with art. My ideas percolate as I take my daily stroll and I love opportunities to challenge myself and apply my creativity. To keep evolving, so to speak. In addition to my creative and strategic work I have qualified myself as a StrengthsFinder coach. I have had opportunities over the past 15 years not only to grow in understanding of self and others but also later as manager and coach, achieving organisational goals and success through higher employee engagement, improving team dynamics and improved overall team performance. I continue this work by coaching individuals and small teams. The insight and understanding of patterns of feeling, thinking and behaving it can bring not only to work teams but also close relationships is life changing.
