As a senior engineer, I was responsible for day-to-day data operations at Good Glamm Group which includes data warehousing, setting up datapipeline, data modeling, building facts tables - order level, product level etc. Besides working together with data analysts, data scientists and project managers I was also involved in building complex reports which provides meaningful insights for core teams like Supply Chain, Marketing, Sales, Logistics, Seller platforms etc The biggest challenge under this role was the cost optimisation we performed on BigQuery which reduced monthly costs from ₹ 1M to ₹300K. The size of warehouse was increasing on a daily basis, however the business wanted the operational cost to be fixed.

As a senior engineer, I was responsible for the entire data infra for the client Plowz & Mowz. When I started the position, there was no data infrastructure for the client; everything was in excel sheet.I laid down the entire infrastructure for logging events from the Android/iOS mobile app and their website. Besides, I also wrote custom Python scripts for data pipelining from MongoDB to AWS Redshift through AWS Data Pipeline using dataduct library. The library was incompatible with Python 3, hence I need to transition it to Python 3. In this role, my biggest accomplishment is building a Media Source Performance module. This helped us to track the performance of various media sources by making use of Appsflyer. This is a very critical module as we spent close to a million dollar in advertisement in 2019.The other biggest accomplishment is Job Cost module, which properly track the revenue of the company. Even though it is a simple ETL process, it highly benefited the company in the long run to properly track the money coming in and going out.

This role paved my way into the field of data science. I was the first engineer hired in the data team for the product - Wishbone, Yarn etc which were the in top 10 in iTunes store back in 2015. Most of the initial work was setting up data imports and streaming data using Kinesis. Since the data is not structured, ETL was the hardest part.My biggest challenge was how to manage a warehouse with data growing at an exponential rate and to keep costs under control. We did it using a lot of compression techniques and moving the least used data to Redshift spectrum etc.My biggest learning is how to mentally grow and cope with a high growth startup, with users reaching upto 10 million and wishbone cards hitting close to a billion.

As a backend engineer, I was involved in the backend infrastructure of the mobile ad company called ChirpAds and Playhaven. Playhaven is a popular ad game platform spin out of UpSight.In this role, my biggest challenge was the merging of two ad networks into one. During this process, we need to migrate data and make sure ads are running across both platforms.

In this start-up company, I was involved right from requirement gathering, engineering and deployment. As a small team, we built and experimented a lot of products - from a bot CRM to a social media migration tool.My biggest accomplishment is building a migration app, which stores data in a secure format for future use, something like Internet Archive in current times.The other biggest accomplishment is learning how to design and build API for mobile App. Apart from this, I also had the advantage of learning to code in Java and Objective C and contribute to the app in Android and iOS.

This is a startup founded by me. This is a B2C platform for holiday packages, meant for travellers and travel operators. The platform will help travellers to purchase holiday packages from various travel operators. Though it was not successful, I learned a lot by building this product, especially in terms of architecture, code management, business etc.My biggest accomplishment is knowing A-Z of developing a product.

Though it was fun, I learned a lot about ports, sockets etc.
