Mr. Davidson is the Director of the Center for Customized Training at El Camino College and has served in this role since September 2010. He holds an MBA from Wayland Baptist University and a BBA from West Texas A&M University with concentrations in management. Mr. Davidson has over 20 years of experience in workforce & economic development, career and technical education, contract training, and building key alliances and partnerships with businesses, state/federal agencies, and colleges. Mr. Davidson's recent accomplishments are a testament to his collaborative approach. He led the effort to create, develop, and implement a statewide network of California Employment Training Panel (ETP) colleges. This network, now known as the UpSkill California Community College Collaborative, includes over 30 colleges interested in expanding contract education. This collaborative effort aims to better serve businesses across the state by sharing resources, curriculum development, best practices, and innovation and responsiveness in developing new delivery methods and services. ECC’s Center for Customized Training and director Mr. Davidson were the recipients of the 2018 California Community Colleges Statewide Contract Education Star Performer Leadership Award, 2019 Statewide Collaboration Award, and again in 2020 at the California Community College Contract Education Summit meeting for practicing the highest level of leadership and collaboration concerning economic development, contract education and serving the needs of industry
