• Direct billing team to ensure unapplied credits and refunds are posted timely.• Point of contact for 11 billing specialists.• Responsible for training new team members in EPIC and various resources.• Manage productivity reports to track each billing specialists workflow and advise on improvements.• Supervise work queues in EPIC to monitor trends and potential posting concerns.

• Posts payments, denials, and adjustments to patient claims in EPIC software• Reviews and resolves credit balances and payments• Contacts payers when additional information is required to address a payment posting issues• Adheres to compliance and patient confidentiality requirements set by the HIPAA Privacy Rule.• Reports posting issues and trends to appropriate leadership personnel and works collaboratively to develop solutions with team members

• Manage one million dollar sales revenue with all current and delinquent accounts with largest Medicaid HMO’s in State of Ohio and Bureau of Workers’ Compensation.• Delegate correct resubmission procedures to the billing specialists after researching causes of denials and non-payments.• Assume training responsibilities for new Ohio Medicaid and non-Medicaid team members.• Serve as mentoring “point of contact” for all team members regarding various regional and state specific questions.• Responsible for daily cash applications for payments received to ensure accurate cash postings.• Audit weekly billing and payroll for accuracy and compliance.

• Responsible for all hiring, training and managing 11 office staff members for billing and collections team. • Manage all billing and collections for both Medicaid and non-Medicaid’s six million dollar sales revenue.• Organize weekly and monthly conference calls between corporate and branch management regarding account receivable goals and incentives.• Lead communicator with Account Manager, Regional Account Manager, and Billing Specialist regarding account balance status and reimbursement strategy.

• Responsible for weekly billing of private pay, insurance, Ohio Medicaid, and staffing for three to five Ohio offices. • Accountable for editing weekly branch payroll, posting weekly sales information, and communicating reasons for modifications to branch Account Managers and recruiters.• Maintained branch office A/R at 10% or lower while assuming control of insurance and Ohio Medicaid collections.• Responsible for contacting Case Managers, Directors of Clinical Services, and state employees to obtain reimbursement on Medicaid accounts.
