My primary interests lie in responding to patient-identified needs in the cancer sector through research aimed at: (1) Understanding the intersection of metabolism, dietary profiles, and the gut microbiome to uncover potentially acceptable and feasible nutrition interventions that are clinically beneficial, safe and less toxic to be used in adjunct to current, standard of care; and(2) Addressing health equity by applying health informatics to create novel solutions aimed at engaging all patients in active and fully-informed decision making regarding treatment options. Other interests include food security, growing veggies at home, and exploring our beautiful west coast! Reach out for interdisciplinary, institutional collaborations.
