I have a strong background in psychological science, exploring previous work experience in child safety, youth mentoring, support work and now diving into support coordination. I am one of 6 women operating behind the scenes at Cleo’s Place. We service to Logan, Gold Coast, Scenic Rim, Brisbane, Ipswich and Bayside regions.I can assist participants to understand and implement their NDIS plan and assist participants to connect with mainstream, NDIS and community supports that align with their plan goals. At Cleo’s Place, we pride ourselves on ensuring participants are empowered to exercise choice and control over the supports they access, and we assist them to learn skills to be more independent in coordinating their services. To access support coordination and connection services, participants need support coordination funding built into the capacity building section of their NDIS plan. If they do not have this funding, and believe they should, they can speak with their Local Area Coordinator or NDIS planner. Alternatively, they can come to visit me and I can assist with a review of their plan to ensure they have this very helpful service!
