My role as a Project Support Officer sees that I remain professional and highly organised to be able to keep project on track and on budget ensuring that they meet the main objectives of the project. Project planning is essential to assure timelines are met whilst being able to maintain multiple projects at once. It is also essential in my role to be aware of any changes in the law, for example, the new GDPR that has come into force, which means protecting individuals data is a high priority ensuring everyone has been given informed consent and is aware of their right to withdraw. Often I have to arrange and hold meetings with the relevant service areas or with external organisations, being mindful I am representing the company.

To be able to provide support to positively impact on the health and wellbeing of individuals. Predominantly I worked with adults with multiple and profound learning needs making it essential to adhere to individuals care plans, supporting individuals to participate in chosen activities, help with personal care. During my time as a support worker I was a key worker for two individuals, at it was imperative I kept their files up to date with the correct information to be able to support them correctly, and to help plan specific outcomes for the individuals. For example, to introduce and promote a swimming activity to help with muscle fitness in one instance.
