Co-developed & facilitated a nutrition and behaviour family weight intervention for Surrey Public Health funded by Surrey CCG. Led this initiative online during the UK covid-19 lockdown and then moved towards face to face.BYB student lead facilitator; supervising students & leading dietitians in supervision of students across the programme. This programme continues to run successfully today.

Set up a dietetic services within a high secure mental health hospital. Introduced preventative nutritional services for service users to prevent nutritional issues upon admission. Addressed accessibility of the dietetic clinic by visiting the wards on rotation to introduce myself, answer diet & health questions from service users, and to promote the dietetic services.Developed & ran a weekly dietetic clinic to service users covering diabetes, weight management, coeliac & allergy nutritional advice, weight gain & malnutrition. Advised the MDT on providing enteral nutrition support & assisted in the management of these patients including liaising with local NHS trusts regarding tube insertion.

Within the role as a specialist hepato-pancreatico-biliary dietitian I was involved in optimising patients nutritional status with a variety of diagnoses both prior to and post surgery. Additionally reviewing patients with a variety of HPB conditions including; decompensated liver disease, acute pancreatitis, chronic pancreatitis, liver/gallbladder/pancreatic cancer, HPB surgery. The role included providing advising patients on Pancreatic Enzyme Replacement Therapy (PERT), devising appropriate care plans for patients requiring oral or enteral nutrition & working with the nutrition support team with parenterally fed patients. This role involved home enteral feed discharges and providing community teams with up to date evidence and nutritional advice on managing HPB patients nutritional status. I provided supervision to student dietitians, acting as a lead placement supervisor to placement C dietetic students.

Rotations included; elderly care & endocrinology; respiratory & AMU; and surgical dietetics. Weekly general dietetic clinic. Covered gestational diabetes clinic. Co-created an outreach weight management programme designed for referrals to the dietetic department for weight loss advice.

Programme fully funded by Guilford & Waverley CCG. - Created the 12 week 'Fit For Living: Weight Management course' a paid lifestyle and weight management course designed to provide significant support to those looking to lose weight. - Created and ran the 5 for 5 challenge, coaching individuals to lose weight over 5 weeks. - Ran a weekly dietetic clinic, providing one to one dietetic consultations for clients, University of Surrey students and staff members.
