Formulation and execution of the risk strategy and operations to IMFact which provides the underserved SME sector with working capital financing; an alternative to traditional bank lending.Performance Highlights: Oversee two staff and serve as Chair of the Local Credit Committee, leading the team in compiling credit papers, chairing meetings, and delivering risk-related presentations Establish the risk structure by formulating risk manuals and procedures in conjunction with the Group CRO, identifying and mitigating risks on potential and active deals, and performing due diligence  Have developed a rating template to analyse potential deals  Function as Lead on the FSDAi-funded, IMFact/ SNDBX training and develop training modules in coordination with SNDBX to support the development of the Small Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs).

Served as Senior Analyst for East Africa for this Rating Agency, managed 23 credits across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Rwanda, and assessed business-creditworthiness of entities in the Banking, Insurance, Corporate, and Public Sectors (as part of a joint project by the World Bank and the Commission of Revenue Allocation). Performance Highlights: Performed risk scoring and institutional rating analysis, presented to the Rating Committee, and served in the Committees as a voting member.  Supervised two indirect reports and built capacity of analysts by introducing an idea-sharing platform. Researched and wrote rating announcements and reports.

Helped set-up and operationalize the Society from the ground up, providing strategic direction on governance, strategic planning, operations management, and human resource functions.Performance Highlights: Recruited and onboarded four new Board members. Served as key advisor to the Board on continuous professional development, membership, financial management/funding, research challenge, public awareness and advocacy. Built strong relations with regulators that included Capital Markets Authorities in Kenya and Uganda, the Nairobi Securities Exchange, Uganda Securities Exchange, Rwanda Securities Exchange, the Association of Stock Exchanges in Africa, as well as the Retirement Benefits Authority. Garnered the Most Outstanding Society Award in 2017 with less than 110 members, gaining recognition and visits from the CEO of the CFA Institute and the MD of the CFA Institute (EMEA region). Took part in industry events, winning the Best Speaker Award for Europe, Middle East, and Africa at the 2016 Society Leaders Conference in Budapest, Hungary.  Organized the inaugural CFA Society East Africa Conference in 2016.
