I also helped them understand their assignments and tutored them on more difficult sections.Lastly, I also worked a group leader and took students on excursions to discover the Bay Area (Fisherman’s Wharf, Union Square, Golden Gate Park, Oakland Museum, among others) and engage in meaningful conversation about culture and language.

I was an English teaching assistant at a French high school in La Roche Sur Yon, focusing on pronunciation, vocabulary, and fluency with the students. I met with smaller groups of students to do speaking activities and cultural exchanges. I also met one-on-one with seniors to practice oral exams in preparation for their baccalauréat (year end final exam).

I taught first level French and Chinese students three times a week, helping them practice and master grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation that they learned in their language class. Through oral activities and partner practice, I helped students' take new grammar and vocabulary and use it in situations outside the classroom.

Twice a week, I tutored high school students on probation in Mount Vernon and helped them focus on their homework. I worked one-on-one with several students throughout the year to better understand their study style and ensure their progression. I was a volunteer in this club for all for years at Kenyon, ultimately leading the club as president my senior year.
