Having joined MV+A Architects in Washington, DC, in April of 2014, Eleanor is excited to be jumping into the world of large, mixed-use development and commercial work. Keeping her career focus on rehabilitation and historic preservation, she now heads up a boutique studio within the office, managing a range of smaller project types. These include shopping center facelifts, new retail buildings, historic rehabilitations and analysis, and new institutional buildings. Prior to joining MV+A, Eleanor was founding principal with The RKtects Studio, Inc. for 20 years. She came to MV+A as an Historic Architect with over thirty years of experience in preservation planning, as well as renovation, rehabilitation, adaptive use and restoration projects in the Mid-Atlantic region, and new design within historic districts. Her strong background in historic preservation continues to serve as the foundation for all of her work, and her creativity in managing complex programs and regulatory processes has earned her regional recognition.
