As a member of the process design team, I was responsible for the process development of projects within a Brownfield site. Documentation, drawings and data sheets were prepared which were required as part of the design development process, including initial scoping and feasibility studies, Process design package and detailed design.During this time I was responsible for;Producing datasheets, for safety critical valves.Hydraulic network evaluation using AFT Fathom softwareP&ID development PRO II modelling of refinery processes and equipment.Following management of change proceduresConceptual reviews with other engineering disciplines Heat and mass balancesOne of my main tasks was to develop a model of the refinery cooling water system using the as-built isometrics. This will be used to assess the viability of future projects and how they may be integrated into the existing infrastructure.I have also specified pumps and heat exchangers. I am currently working on a remote isolation valve project to mitigate against loss of containment of hazardous substances.This involves coordinating and managing expectations of plant operators and engineers from different disciplines.I have been working with Lotus, FTA Fathom, Arrow, Auto EDMS and SAP software packages.Whilst there I have been scheduling meetings and giving presentations on the projects I am working on, to the managers of each area.
