Working with other staff members to promote the Royal Pavilion and Museums, and providing a safe, accessible and friendly environment for all visitors. My main duties included stewarding, retail and events support. My stewarding duties involved assisting in the smooth everyday running across the two sites. I was required to be assertive and pro-active in ensuring the security and safety of the buildings, collection, public and staff as well as being approachable with a demonstrated historical and social knowledge of the collections. During peak visitation times I worked effectively as a part of wider team to ensure that visitors enjoyed their time and had the opportunity to ask any questions, whilst balancing effective crowd control measures and keen awareness of my surroundings.I actively sought out career enhancement opportunities such as customer service training and events support. The Royal Pavilion and Museums host many events throughout the year, including weddings, corporate outings and conferences, banquets and music evenings. Each event is different with a wide range of national and international clientele of all ages. My job role required me to be on hand to set up for this events, including welcoming caterers and hosts into the Pavilion and being attentive to their requirements, as well as stewarding rooms and remaining in radio contact with the rest of my team at all times.
