As a receptionist at Fitness4Less I communicated with members on a face-to-face and email basis in a warm and friendly manor about fees, packages and offers. I was also responsible for cashiering, regular gym checks and I was pool responder and first aid trained.Following the first lockdown due to COVID-19, I had to implement all cleaning and safety procedures around social distancing and ensure they were strictly adhered to by members and guests.I developed my confidence, interpersonal skills and knowledge and received positive feedback from members.

This placement proved to be an invaluable insight into the physiotherapy world and confirmed my interest in the profession.I was fortunate enough to see how Ben incorporated movement analysis, training and rehabilitation techniques into the programmes of the professional cricket players. I saw firsthand how Ben collaborated with the strength and conditioning coach and an external nutritionist to increase performance.The opportunity to observe how Ben communicated and empathised with the players and their injuries has helped me to develop a number of different skills that will help me prepare for a future life in a healthcare environment.
