Served as Director of the Carsey School Evaluation Program, a Carsey Research Assistant Professor, and the Project Manager of the Coös Youth Study, a ten-year study of young people in New Hampshire’s rural north country as they transitioned from adolescence to adulthood in the context of regional demographic and economic changes.

Headed a qualitative study of identity and career decision-making among women engineering students and students in other majors in response to recruitment and retention issues in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Primary project roles included data management, qualitative data analysis using Atlas.ti, and reporting of findings.

Contributed to the development of a statewide program evaluation system for Special Education in Institutional Settings. Analyzed organizational structures, reviewed scholarly and professional literature, conducted interviews with key personnel, synthesized information collected, and co-wrote and compiled final report.

Managed one phase of a longitudinal program evaluation of a supported housing program serving homeless adults with psychiatric disabilities. Developed a logic model to identify system inputs and program objectives, and determined appropriate outcome measures. Range of responsibilities included maintaining relationships with program administrators and staff, acquiring necessary IRB and agency approvals, supervising several graduate assistants, recruiting of study participants and obtaining informed consent, collecting administrative records, constructing an SPSS database, analyzing quantitative data, and reporting to stakeholders.
