Eleanor Nelson is a graduating third year student at California State University, Long Beach. During her time at California State University, Long Beach, she has had extensive coursework in Political Science and American Indian studies.Professionally, Nelson has spent her time at California State University, Long Beach, by creating DEI programming and events to represent Native American students on campus. Nelson coordinates all of the events for CSULB Native American Heritage Month events as well as the largest 2-day university powwow on the western side of the Mississippi River. Along with programming, her role at CSULB also focuses on the retention of Native American students by providing resources and support in the Puvungna Cultural Resource Center. Nelson also utilizes cultural resources for Native American/Alaskan Native students to navigate higher education.
