In this freelance role with Learning Pool, I worked with private and public sector organisations to develop blended solutions to meet training needs. I created bespoke and catalogue content in the areas of • Health• Social Care• Financial Services• Compliance• Business skills• Hospitality• Foundation skills• Public sector• HousingI worked with UK Councils and health organisations, as well as on bespoke projects for customers such as St James’s Hospital, The Swiss International Hearing Academy (SIHA), The Royal Marsden, FIFA, 3M, Lidl GB, The Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) and many more.

As a freelance content developer with FolensOnline, I worked with educational advisors and authors on the production of digital resources, textbooks and workbooks in a number of primary and secondary school subjects, including Maths, Geography, History, French, German and Business Studies.

In this freelance role with Interactive Services (now LRN), I worked with a Learning Manager and development team to create e-learning courses in the areas of compliance and finance. This involved scripting e-learning content using a bespoke authoring tool, creating audio scripts and conducting online reviews of developed content.

I worked in a dedicated team to deliver interactive e-Learning and digital content for an Irish language-learning educational service. The team designed and produced digital activities, games and learning resources according to pedagogical principles and BBC guidelines. In this role, I liaised with a wide range of outside content providers, subject specialists, educational advisors, translators, and technical support teams. I managed content development partners and monitored production quality to ensure the highest standards within budgets.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, I was responsible for the overall success of all project teams working on e-Learning content development, product testing and localisation projects. My overall role was to oversee all project teams to ensure that each team produced quality products on time and within budget.

With the expansion of the company, I moved into a project management role where I managed multiple projects from conception to completion. I acted as the senior point of contact for clients, external resources and internal team members. I managed a remote product testing team and oversaw the testing of SkillSoft IT courses. I liaised with clients to understand their needs and integrated these needs with project quality and timelines. I was also responsible for designing and documenting production processes.

In this role, I managed teams of Instructional Designers and Editors on content development projects. I had overall responsibility for the quality of content delivered by development teams. I managed the planning, design and development of content according to instructional design principles, SkillSoft guidelines and house style guide. I successfully managed the retrofitting of SkillSoft courses to comply with section 508 accessibility guidelines. I was responsible for creating and maintaining project documentation and monitoring production quality. Managing the recruitment and training of new staff members was a key part of the role.
