Head of Outreach, Education and Communications for BBMRI-ERIC - a European research infrastructure for biobanking. We bring together all the main players from the biobanking field – researchers, biobankers, industry, and patients – to boost biomedical research.

I have been working on digital projects for 18 years. This has included website design, particularly custom Wordpress, creating content (graphics, video, audio) and copy writing. I am also experienced in using social media to grow communities. Achievements: Recording the Postcards from Home podcast - see mscrow.com, Apple, Spotify etc Development of a content production strategy for a high fashion knitwear business. This involved writing engaging and SEO friendly website copy, editing images and creating gifs/videos, designing a house style for communications, regular newsletter releases via MailChimp and devising calls to action for new knitwear releases. I have an instinctual understanding of my client͛s customer base and write conversational copy for this international audience. Devised marketing strategies for new releases of lifestyle and children͛s products that involved coordinating influencers, their social media images and writing high quality copy. My result for the client was a sellout collection. Other copywriting projects have included SEO friendly full website copy, MailChimp communications and marketing materials for lifestyle and charitable organisations. I led on international activities for the section. This involved building relationships with institutions to deliver TNE opportunities. I worked with universities and colleges in Canada, India, Hong Kong and Thailand. I delivered a variety of journalism, media and communications based units, carried out student pastoral duties and was actively involved in research that centred on my interests in radio, communities and identity. I took great pleasure from creating original digital content to enhance my teaching through the use of video, photography and audio.As previous Programme Leader for the BA Multimedia Journalism I handled both the administrative and student facing management of the degree. This included curriculum development, team leadership, recruitment to the course and quality control of the teaching.

Mossley

I represented Mossley Ward for Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council.

Co-ordinating a research project on measuring the social outcomes of community radio. Also writing a toolkit to enable stations to carry out their own research and benchmarking.

I redesigned the Toolkit website and authored original editorial and audio content to support th UK community radio sector.
