A Learning Technologist with 20 years' experience, I have extensive knowledge of managing and maintaining arguably the 'big three' Virtual Learning Environments, namely Blackboard, Moodle and Canvas.As a system administrator of all three systems, I have an unusually broad understanding of the issues and implications of supporting and developing large scale eLearning systems, with my experience extending to additional system administration roles for Turnitin, Panopto, QuestionMark Perception, Adobe Connect, MURAL, Padlet and CampusPress.I have gained this experience between my time working at a UK Russell Group university of 25000+ students and my time working at a specialist UK arts university of 6000+ students, with my work winning a Vice-Chancellor's award at both institutions. These roles have provided me invaluable insights into how different institutions operate, and the challenges they face on a day-to-day basis.During the Covid-19 pandemic, I was able to use my 17 previous years of experience to play a key role in facilitating the immediate shift to online teaching for all campus based courses, whilst also successfully developing and launching a range of brand new online-only graduate and post-graduate level courses as part of a successful Digital Learning team. In 2022 the team was presented with a 'Highly Commended' team award at the ALTC 2022 Awards for the successful launch of these courses during the pandemic.I am passionate about my work, with an attention to detail stemming from a desire to achieve the highest possible output and quality in my work.As a side passion, I am the co-founder of a successful business, The Single Fin Collective, creating and selling art to a global customer base with my partner. Running two online eCommerce platforms in my spare time, as well as selling to wholesale customers worldwide, I have extensive experience of customer relationship management, website development (Shopify), social media management (Instagram, Facebook) and growing and developing a brand from scratch. With over 9000 sales globally and stockists as far away as Hawaii and Japan, The Single Fin Collective is an achievement I am incredibly proud of.
