Motivation, dedication, and determination. By pursuing an undergraduate business degree at the Kelley School of Business at IU, I aim to acquire the skills needed to create sustainable business approaches while empowering women in the workplace. My understanding has been formed by my experiences as adaptable in the workplace, an organizational leader, and a risk taker.Adaptable in the workplace: During my summer internship as a digital marketing intern at a design studio, dealing with unexpected scheduling and delivery conflicts, I learned how to be adaptable in the workplace.Organizational leader: Being an officer in the club Rotary interact taught me organization. From organization came time management. As I focus on my academics this first semester, group projects run smoother because of organization. I am grateful for this position as it helped me with maintaining my academic progress.Risk taker: Stepping out of my comfort zone and performing in my high school’s musical developed my confidence. I want to use that to empower other women in the workplace by joining clubs such as Women in Business at IU. Furthermore, I am passionate about creating sustainable business approaches for the future, and I can develop those skills in specific workshops.
