I apply experience in systems design, electronics, and software engineering along with planning and project management skills to solve sensor data acquisition, transmission, storage, processing, and appropriate data distribution to improve system performance and profitability.Energy availability and clean water are the #1 and #2 problems in the world and are foundational to our economic well-being. I am working to help in these areas with my background in sensors, real-time instrumentation and control while leveraging a passion for improving energy measurement and management from the source to it point of use. The integration of many new non-traditional sources of electric power present significant emerging challenges to power transmission and distribution. Instrumentation and real-time control are more critical to successful integration of these new energy sources than ever before. Breakthroughs in power electronics, coupled with developing battery technologies and the emergence of ultra-low power electronics will be leveraged to bring about fine-grain distributed generation, formation of micro-grids and to increasing energy management options for energy-consumers at all levels.
