Full time Classroom teacher responsible for 9-12 grade students teaching primarily Algebra 2 and Pre-Calculus (also taught AP Calculus and AP Statistics).✔ Led a team of more than 30 members on a two year long, federally funded data project called Using Data Project (UDP). >> Planned, built and drove the project to completion from scratch. Analyzed massive amounts of data on student performances in State testing, End of course exams, midterm tests; student attendance, disciplinary action log, detention/suspension data, number of parent-teacher interventions, number of dropouts, etc. >> Partnered with the major stakeholders – our principal, students, parents, teachers, counselors, and the director of small schools, to develop a vision for the project. ✔ Improved the student performance in Algebra 2 STAR tests during the academic year 2011-2012, when 77% of students scored Proficient in comparison to previous year’s 59%. Single handedly managed all the Algebra 2 and Pre-Calculus courses at Kearny High SCT for that academic year.✔ Worked as the Math Lead Instructor in a month-long Summer Program for 3 consecutive years for High school Math and Science teachers called Teaching Teachers TI.
