I worked as a developer on several projects built on Magento Enterprise platform, for large international companies, in various stages of life: early development, new features for live projects and support. Some examples of such projects are Sonae, Coach, Stella&Dot, Hanleywood, Zippy.I was part both of teams located in the same office, as well as teams spread across the globe. Almost all projects involved client interaction either on a regular basis or on demand. I was involved in developing new features or new versions (for example a new language) for existing and new projects, as well as debugging live projects, including performance and load testing (using Locust). All features went through a full development cycle: planning, development, code review, unit testing, functional testing (manual as well as automated), deployment. I was lucky to be able to be a part of all of these phases, including automated functional testing using Behat.I was also a part of the Magento University program, that trained new PHP developers to use Magento Ecommerce. During my time in Netbridge I was part of one of the programming teams, in charge of developing new functionalities for the Okazii.ro website, but also other smaller projects, such as Anunturi.ro and Recomandari.ro. The development process included writing documentation for the written code. If needed, I would also alter the database structure in order to implement the new features. Each team was also in charge, at given intervals, of debugging issues of existing functionalities. Relevant functionalities I worked on include rewriting of URLs for Anunturi.ro acording to specifications and SEO standards (while keeping the compatibbility with old URLs through 301 redirects), exporting orders in XML format, template system for the add auction forms using tinyMCE HTML editor, implementing separate stoc values by object properties (color, size, etc), archival or old database information, improving frontend areas displaying information received through AJAX calls. Designing templates in Photoshop, slicing and implementing them in HTML and CSS, adding PHP and MySQL backend for admin areas where needed. Projects included catalogs and online stores developed from scratch, without a framework or a premade platform, developing a complete CMS from ground up, including a templating system and a translation module, as well as an online catalog and suggestion system including and automated module for crawling parsing information from producing companies’ websites, search using Apache SOLR (which included a scoring functionality in order to give the best results for the current user) and closest shop suggestions once the product was selected.
