◆ 𝗦𝗖𝗢𝗣𝗘: Direct all facets of research, analysis, and advocacy activities related to adoption and implementation of strategies to reduce climate and air pollution. Craft and lead new program strategies, increasing attention on climate and health issues, as well as disaster response as it relates to environmental health. Direct the annual budget, guide team members and consultant staff to secure strategies resulting in significant reductions in climate and air pollution. Identify and coordinate research and analysis to inform and advance objectives. Partner collaboratively and across programs to align with organizational vision. Engage with internal and external stakeholders, policymakers, and NGO partners. ◆ 𝗢𝗥𝗚𝗔𝗡𝗜𝗭𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗜𝗠𝗣𝗔𝗖𝗧:➢ Played a leadership role in the development and creation of the Texas Flood Registry, the largest registry of its kind. ➢ Partnered and supported a historically Black neighborhood to acquire and install the largest community-owned and -managed network of air quality monitors in the State of Texas.➢ Advocated for, and took a leading role in, the creation of the Texas Flood Registry, the 1st registry after testifying in local/state/federal forums on national air pollution policy.

◆ 𝗦𝗖𝗢𝗣𝗘: Developed research projects that studied the relationship between health impacts and environmental air toxics from various sources. Collaborated with community partners and local stakeholders to evaluate and mitigate pollution sources, designing effective communications and advocacy initiatives to reduce emissions and exposures. Critical representative in a variety of settings, including state and federal agencies, meeting with corporate executives, and NGOs. ◆ 𝗢𝗥𝗚𝗔𝗡𝗜𝗭𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗜𝗠𝗣𝗔𝗖𝗧:➢ Uncovered a massive leak of cancer-causing benzene in a Houston neighborhood during Hurricane Harvey in 2017.➢ Secured $10M in federal funding, leading a partnership with Port Houston and local agencies to reduce air pollution through replacing outdated drayage trucks with cleaner models.➢ Facilitated networks of experts to design and initiate regional clean air strategies through activities to reduce diesel emissions and air toxics, reducing diesel emissions.

◆ 𝗦𝗖𝗢𝗣𝗘: Authored peer-reviewed publications on research conducted; planned and interpreted data for various studies. Conducted research utilizing various molecular biological techniques. Presented poster presentations to scientists and non-scientists. Prepared symposiums and co-chaired sessions on environmental health at international meetings.
