For part of my time at Frontiers, I worked for the Plant Science, Genetics, and Molecular Biosciences journals team. My job included: interacting directly with the editorial boards (including chief editors) to develop strategies for the journals growth and quality; assisting the different actors during article review (authors, handling editors, reviewers, and chief editors) and finding strategies to address the main issues that came up during the process (delays at different stages, changes in the submission, etc.); handling any ethical issue that may have emerged (COI, plagiarism).
