As a thermodynamics (ME 2233) teaching assistant, I hold weekly office hours to work through homework and classwork problems with students, as well as grading quizzes, problem sets, and exams.

As a research assistant in UConn's Combustion Diagnostics lab, I contribute to running experiments, data collection and analysis, as well as hardware repair and system troubleshooting. The research is in regards to combustion, specializing in the structure and extinction of counterflow premixed ammonia flames. It also covers stagnation point flow dynamics. In collaboration with a fellow research assistant and our supervisor, James Stevens, I have learned to conduct experiments that investigate the affects of pressure variation on the ammonia flame stability and extinction. Particle image velocimetry (PIV) is our main mode of analysis. Overall, the goal is to further understanding of ammonia as a fuel source in order to contribute to applications regarding combustion and turbine technology. During the semester, I work in-lab, but during the summer I assist remotely in projects on SolidWorks and MATLAB. Show less

I am excited to continue my work with UConn’s branch of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics as Vice President for the 24-25 academic year. This club has become an important community and I can’t wait to give back to it.

As a Research Operations intern at Yale University, I've had the privilege to work with and learn from many talented faculty members, graduate researchers, construction teams, and Yale West Campus's wonderful administrative team. Although just one internship, this experience has felt like a dozen. I have had the opportunity to learn about a multitude of research methods and - my favorite part - the technology and mechanical devices that service different parts of the campus. Some highlights of… Show more As a Research Operations intern at Yale University, I've had the privilege to work with and learn from many talented faculty members, graduate researchers, construction teams, and Yale West Campus's wonderful administrative team. Although just one internship, this experience has felt like a dozen. I have had the opportunity to learn about a multitude of research methods and - my favorite part - the technology and mechanical devices that service different parts of the campus. Some highlights of my time thus far include experience working safely in all sorts of labs, from those dealing with bloodborne pathogens to radioactive materials. Additionally, I've had the opportunity to learn about and assist with the design of a customizable, retractable ramp/winch system used for testing a mechanical turtle. All in all, my time working at Yale has been a wonderful and fruitful one, and I look forward to continuing to build upon what I have learned here. Show less
