Provide clinical expertise in practice, education, and quality improvements on the unit. Support and effectively organize unit workflows and act as a liaison between patients, staff, and management. Responsible for facilitating the daily operations of the unit by addressing staffing needs, coordinating admissions and discharges, assisting with direct patient care in emergencies, and promote a collaborative environment for effective patient-focused nursing care.

Collaborated with Emergency Room RNs, PAs, NPs, and Physicians in a fast-paced environment during both day and evening shifts at a Level 2 Trauma Center; Assisted RNs and Physicians with traumas, pelvic exams, sutures/suture removals, lumbar punctures, and foley/straight catheter insertion; Performed CPR and suction in emergency situations; obtained about 25-30 EKGs each shift per department protocol; Kept patients safe during their admission and restocked care areas for effective treatment. Documented information within the scope of practice using Epic.

Provided around the clock care with a maximum 2:1 patient-to-nurse ratio to acutely and critically ill surgical, neurological, medical and transplant patients. Tended to patients who were vented, sedated, on vasopressors, have arterial lines requiring half hour to hourly monitoring and documentation. The Resident Assistant position allowed me to immensely developed several key skills by creating challenging obstacles in communication, organization and time management. Our primary duties of the dorm were to organize programs to promote community development and enforce the policies of the campus within the residence halls.

The Office of Housing and Residential Life on the UMass Darmouth campus dealt with a broad range of student/parent concerns about housing. After holding this position for five semesters I became exceedingly knowledgable about all housing and residential life details, allowing me to better understand the student/parent concerns and to offer helpful advice and solutions. This position has developed my communication skills and has taught me to become more patient pertaining to the patron at hand. I built great relationships with my fellow co-workers and ultimately worked extremely well as a team.

As part of the Deposit Management Support Services branch of the bank I was involved in the meeting process of our recent "go live" production of Branch Capture. Our team visited several Boston Private Bank branches around Boston to ensure the success of our new system, which would reduce the use of couriers. During my time here, I successfully learned to navigate and integrate information on the FISERV and Synergy banking databases. The summer 2010 intern group researched and exhibited a presentation to all banking staff on how Boston Private Bank could positively incorporate new ways to promote and improve the use of collaborative tools, both, internally and externally. I also worked with the Green Initiative Committee in developing a cost analysis of a project executed for the bank by past interns.
