PhD student at the Instituto Agroforestal Mediterráneo (IAM-UPV). My research is focused on the study of the biology of parasitoid Anagyrus aberiae and its potential as a biocontrol agent of invasive citrus mealybug Delottococcus aberiae

As a visiting PhD Student I collaborated in the Smart Parasitoid Project. The aim of the project is to understand the behavior and chemistry of parasioid wasps to improve their efficiency as biocontrol agents of greenhouse pests. I conducted laboratory bioassays as well as greenhouse experiments with candidate volatile compounds that train wasp parasitoids to search more efficiently for their host.

Research assistant in the Insect Vectors of Plant Pathogens Group. Entomology applied to agriculture and sustainability. Main tasks:- Identification, rearing and maintenance of different insect species: aphids, whiteflies, cicada, etc.- Efficacy of various insecticide products on insect populations.- Analysis of the dispersion of diseases caused by vector insects on greenhouse and field conditions.- Detection and characterization of viral diseases transmitted by insects- Study of the feeding behavior of insects with the Electrical Penetration Graph (EPG)

Study of the mode of action of agrobiological compounds in order to improve crop yield and analysis of their potential use as bioherbicides. Tasks developed:- Germination and vegetative growth in Arabidopsis thaliana and in four species of agronomic interest (S.lycipersicum, Z.mays, B.napus, G.max).- Study of the expression of marker genes associated with hydric and thermal stress, also related to hormonal responses, using RT-qPCR,

Research support on strategies for an efficient irrigation and development of pistachio cultivars in the region of Madrid (Spain). Tasks developed:- Breeding and developing of new varieties of pistachio.- Phenology and flowering monitoring.- Set up and management of irrigation system.- Irrigation at different doses and subsequent monitoring and measurements of stress on leaves: water potential, chlorophyll level, anthocyanins and flavonols levels.

Student Internship with the Erasmus+ programme at the Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences (CULS-Prague), Laboratory of Plant Tissue Cultures. Tasks developed:- In vitro cultures and micropropagation of plants from tropical and subtropical regions.- Laboratory general maintenance.
