Information, guidance and practical information about the Digital Europe ProgrammeThe Digital Europe Programme (DIGITAL) is an EU funding programme focused on bringing digital technology to businesses, citizens and public administrations. Digital technology and infrastructure have a critical role in our private lives and business environments.

The MEDIA project budget is 967 241 EUR.This project is an ambitious initiative co-financed by the European Commission aimed at enhancing the quality and accessibility of online education in Armenia and Moldova.It focuses on both synchronous and asynchronous learning,seeking to standardize educational frameworks and increase the effectiveness of digital education across these regions. At the core of the project’s mission is the advancement of national and institutional regulatory frameworks.This involves proposing new strategic initiatives and regulatory changes concerning various aspects of online education:Developing a Code of Ethics specific to digital communication for each HEI in Armenia and Moldova.Setting institutional standards for the creation of certified online courses at the 6 involved HEIs.Proposing methodologies for both synchronous and asynchronous online education at these institutions.Crafting recommendations for national standards regarding certified online programs, which would include innovative concepts like micro-credentials.Establishing guidelines to ensure the protection of privacy and confidentiality in online settings.Making recommendations for a national policy on online and distance learning applicable to HEIs and schools.Proposing a Digital Education Action Plan for Armenia and Moldova, which would include recommendations on the nomenclature of professions to better align educational outcomes with labor market needs.A significant aspect of the project involves setting up 6 Inter-University MEDIA Labs -centers for innovation in online education, equipped to support the modernization and globalization of educational practices.Moreover, the project introduces a multidisciplinary, non-formal educational program in Digital Media: Digital Marketing,Social Media Marketing (SMM),Copywriting,Photo and Video Production,and Graphic Design, offered in English,Armenian, and Romanian accredited in Moldova and validated in Armenia.

The CONNECT project is 932 798 EUR co-financed by the European Commission, aimed at fostering innovation and entrepreneurial spirit among students in Moldova, Armenia, and Georgia. It focused on integrating higher education more closely with industry needs and societal demands, enhancing the quality and relevance of educational outcomes.The project achieved notable success in modernizing and digitizing the partner universities, reporting a 15% enhancement in these areas. This was accomplished through various educational programs and the creation of Competitive Intelligence Programs (CIP) that were tailored to both teaching staff and students. The CONNECT project has significantly enhanced the skills and digital competencies of teaching staff and students across universities in Moldova, Armenia, and Georgia. Notably, the initiative led to the issuance of 517 certificates to teaching staff following successful completion of courses delivered through both synchronous (Zoom lectures) and asynchronous methods via the online platform www.smartchannel.digital.The educational modernization and digitalization efforts saw substantial participation, with 1,633 students registering for various courses, 779 of whom successfully completed them. The project expanded its offerings beyond the initial scope by translating 6 courses into English and creating a total of 27 courses available in national languages.During 3 National Business Competitions organised in Armenia,Moldova and Georgia were presented more that 100 business ideas, these events were attended by more that 700 participants. 5 winning business ideas are now ready to be developed into spin-out companies. Additionally, the project fostered direct industry engagement through 27 students developing open innovations with companies,18 students gaining internship opportunities and another 18 participating in an international competition in Bulgaria.

To offer consultancy in intellectual property rights in order to support the creation of business innovative start‐ups; To initiate and maintain links with foreign organizations and institutions in the field of science, innovation and technology transfer; To investigate and identify new funding opportunities, collaborations with international entities working in the field of innovation and technology transfer; To collaborate with all departments within AITT in order to assess and determine the priority directions of AITT with international institutions in various projects, programs related to the field of activity of AITT;
