I am Elena. I wear a few different hats > I am a talent development specialist, recruiter, small business owner, personal trainer and wellness coach, podcaster, author, and content creator. People ask me how I balance all of these things and the answer is - I am actually just really resourceful and know how to get things done, and do it effectively and efficiently. I used to think that the fact that I am a generalist by nature would hurt my career, but it actually helped me create a career that fulfills me and drives me each day. It helped me keep jobs and evolve when people were being laid off. I am a continuous learner and up-skill myself on regular basis. I believe that the 3 Cs - curiosity, consistency, and courage are the ingredients you need to maintain relevance in the world of work.You see all these hats I mentioned earlier? They are not really that different. They all under the theme of just being a high performer - which I consider myself to be - and that is exactly what I help people with. I believe we can all have fulfilling careers and businesses, and that doesn't mean it is peachy 100% of the time; not at all, but when you find something you are good at, people pay you for, and brings you energy when engaging in it, you are likely to enjoy the whole process, even on the days when you want to quit - because it is simply larger than that one day. It also doesn't mean you have to run yourself into the ground and burnout (which I've done and it sucks to be there, I do better now) - you actually just need to create a system of self-care that works for you. It's pretty simple once you get that. We don't operate in silos - career impacts personal life impacts health impacts longevity and vice versa, it is all connect. I think it is a mistake to separate these things. I live and breathe talent development, and often speak on these topics at conferences from New York to Columbia to Dubai to Singapore. As a small business owner, I've also started a few things because I simply love to build and create. I co-founded Bloom Youth and launched Bessern, both tech solutions aimed at enhancing skills and well-being. I've had my own talent development consulting business for over 10 years, and recently launched my next venture - SHFT! - helping people in organizations be on top of their game.Beyond my professional life, I dedicate time to mentor young professionals and assist military veterans in transitioning to corporate roles.
