The Center for Art and Community Partnerships (CACP) cultivates innovative, sustainable relationships with the broader community to explore and expand the relevance of art in public life. I work with MassArt faculty, students, staff, and alumni who want to complete community-based projects with neighborhood organizations, schools, corporations, and institutions to create mutually-beneficial partnerships in the visual arts. We use art as a catalyzing force for citizens to act creatively together.

Interviewed Boston area teaching artists and others involved in arts education for Phase III of the Teaching Artist Research Project (TARP).

- Managed and oversaw the MFA’s Teen Arts Council (TAC), a leadership development program which employs a diverse group of Boston teenagers to learn about and interact with the museum - Supported youth-led initiatives designed to connect the MFA with Greater Boston’s teens and communities, while developing the teens’ creative and critical thinking skills- Introduced TAC members to a wide range of museum professions and learning opportunities

- Assisted with collating, analyzing and synthesizing data for the Making Learning Visible project- Supported the research team in hosting seminars for public school teachers and administrators - Conducted video documentation of seminars

Community Partnerships Coordinator:- Established and maintained community partnerships as part of the Institute for Art and Civic Engagement (IACE)- Developed and built IACE programming, with a focus on the intersection of art and community/social justice- Acted as a resource to faculty, students, and staff interested in art as a catalyst for social changePre-College Program Coordinator:- Directed all aspects of the Pre-College Summer Studio (a 5-week residential studio art program for 60 high school juniors and seniors); managed all faculty and staff (28 persons)- Actively recruited and evaluated applicants, awarded scholarships; developed print materials and website - Maintained meaningful, supportive relationships with students and families - Secured significant funding for need-based, local scholarships
