Profile bio

About Elena Berman, Phd

I’ve loved math and science, ever since I was a kid, and I have made a career out of doing experiments, collecting data, and using that data to create impactful solutions to important problems. Oil and gas powers the world economy, and will continue to do so during the energy transition. At Insight M, I oversee the technology, including R&D, hardware, and software, that quickly finds the most impactful methane emissions, significantly reducing the current impact of oil and gas operations. I’m also responsible for transforming that data into strategies that allow operators to target their methane management programs to their individual needs and portfolios, maximizing profits and minimizing fees and regulatory costs. And, of course, none of this would be possible without building creative and empowered diverse teams to tackle these important problems by creating revolutionary innovations. Together with our partners, we kept >$500M worth of gas in the pipes from 2019-2023, and we are just getting started!

Listed skills include Spectroscopy, Mass Spectrometry, Analytical Chemistry, Optics, and 18 others.
