Elena Piani is an Italian-New Zealander with 24 years of experience in managing corporate communications projects empowering sustainability practices. She is a certified trainer and sustainability manager.After working 15 years as an employee for a variety of businesses in management consulting (EOS and KPMG); in multinationals (including General Electric, Merck Serono, SkyCity, and British Airways), as well in diplomacy, working at the Embassy of Israel in Rome (bilateral & multilateral affairs) focusing on the promotion of Israeli agritech, biotech, nanotech, waste management, and renewable energy, she opened her own business in 2015: Piani Projects. Sustainability Training & Business Consulting.Elena has a multicultural educational background, a Baccalauréat from Lycée Français Chateaubriand de Rome awarded in 1996 in Economics and Social Sciences and a degree in International Business from Brighton University in 2000. In furthering her interest in sustainable development, Elena completed a Diploma in Management and Communication of Non-profit Organisations at COSPE, contributing to her commitment as a volunteer for diverse non-profits and organising fundraising initiatives, furthered by additional education courses she frequents to deepen her knowledge on innovative awareness-based systems through U.lab.
