I am a principled, collaborative, and efficient academic leader experienced in creating consensus among diverse groups of faculty and building and leading Game Design & Development programs; dedicated to creating learning environments that foster diversity and inclusivity while establishing and supporting high standards for creative and research work; focused on adapting to the new post-pandemic reality and how it affects curriculum and program development, fundraising, budgeting, marketing, recruitment, and community-building with alumni, industry, and the larger community.We have started a small business focused on serious game design and development SolitonZgames.com to be able to commercialize our games and disseminate them to a broader audience. We are currently working on the What's My Method? game to help couples find the optimal method of birth control for their life circumstances.For many years I have worked with the IEEE on the Games Entertainment Media Conference. The 2024 edition is in Torino - city of beautiful cars and chocolate.I continue to collaborate with colleagues at Yale. Every year I teach the Art of the Game class with Sarah Stevens-Morling building on the foundation we started with Johannes De Young and Federico Solmi.I grew up in the hotel/ restaurant business in Cortina d'Ampezzo and Vail. I love cooking and sharing food with family and friends., I read a lot of fiction and am a frequent visitor to my local library. When I moved back to Italy after college, I started doing cross-country races and triathlons with Atletica Ovest Ticino. I don't compete much anymore, but still enjoy the same training.. lots of running, biking and swimming.
