CinemaUg App is a product of cineUGApp (U) Ltd a private company in Uganda which managed to open and register in 2016 in the month of October. It is a mobile application which was aimed at bridging the gap between the Ugandan market for films and the film makers. It has been running since 2016 and so far we have over 6000 users who have downloaded the application. The film industry in Uganda has been growing year by year with a huge progress in the films produced and the different awards that are organized to improve and encourage the filmmakers through Uganda film festival awards that are organized every year and the other awards, but there still exists a very big gap between the market and the film industry and this led to the development of cinemaUg Application. The application provides a marketing platform for the films not only in Uganda but also in other countries through the various people who download the application, it enables the users to comments and gives reviews on the different films that are uploaded on the application.
