As part of the Future of Work ThinkTank our focus was to minimize underemployment in Australia while serving the Chinese marketplace. Our solution was MatchBox (火差盒) a multilayered platform that would optimise task and skill allocations between young professionals and Australian businesses to facilitate entry into the China market. This unique platform has huge potential as we move towards the gig economy while harnessing the relationship between Australia and China. MatchBox will sustain and grow the skill portfolio of professionals to navigate their journey in the future of work.Throughout the Shanghai summit I took part in discussions with Alibaba, Xnode and the Australian Landing Pad about Australia - China relations. In Sydney, we solidified our business model after working for three months remotely with international team members.
