"A project is made up of numbers", I've been told. "A project is made up of ideas and words, even before numbers," I reply. Well, I'm the person who puts ideas and words into projects. And I am convinced that they serve to define and shape the reality in which we want to live: plural, diverse, welcoming, respectful of every identity and uniqueness. In my life I have been involved in many different activities. Since a few years ago I approached intersectional feminism, my work has been transformed. Now I dedicate myself entirely to Diversity & Inclusion, Social Responsibility, Sustainability projects. PresidentSfantà Jan 2022 - PresentSfantà has been founded after a dramatic event: the disappearance of my husband Federico Lugato in the mountains on 26 August 2021. We only found him 19 days later. In those 19 days of searching, the unthinkable happened:- I circulated an appeal for help to search for him- over 400 civilian volunteers took part in the search- national newspapers and TV programmes were involved- a software to help geolocate people missing in the mountains is being developed.Making up a team with Federico's friends, we decided to found an association to help those in the situation we experienced. We do this in the ways we know:- communication, social media and press office, because they are often essential for the research to continue and to spread the right messages- technology and IT, because we believe that softwares are the real frontier in the search for missing persons- prevention, because it is only by spreading the culture of safety in the mountains that we can try to prevent these things from continuing to happen and with the frequency they do.I am the president of Sfantà. I coordinate the work and act as connector for a team of about 50 volunteers (to date), who come from all over Italy (and beyond). -

Marketing Communication ConsultantX City Tours May 2017 - Dec 2018Milan Area, ItalyX City Tours is the wonderful project of a very brave woman, Alisa Nesterova. I fell in love with her desire to propose a different and fun kind of tourism and culture. In fact, every week Alisa offers "hunts" in search for artistic and architectural treasures. There are different itineraries that make you explore different areas of the city. The audience is whoever wants to explore independently Milan, Venice, Rome: tourists but also, and above all, people who do not know their own neighborhood, and that in this way can discover hidden places and curious anecdotes. For X City Tours I was in charche of communication, marketing and press relations. -

However, my true passion are materials, papers, textiles, inks.I love the idea of communicating the passion and research that pervade this industry not only to professionals but also to those who, in one day, has to do with digital printing at least once. In other words, to everyone.Below are some of the articles I wrote: web articles are all mine, those in browsable magazines (paper edition available!) are mine and of other editors.Enjoy! -

Phd ResearcherUniversité Paris 8 Vincennes-Saint-Denis Nov 2008 - Mar 2012Paris Area, France"You live a sheltered life", "You're a bookworm", "So, you can do nothing but study". These are just some of the things I have been told during my first interviews after the PhD, when I began to look for a company job. By receiving such feedback, I learned my first marketing lesson: it does not matter so much what you do, but what you say you do. Because, let's face it: no one, in Italy at least, knows exactly what you do during a PhD. And few are touched by the doubt that the scholarship, in fact, is a salary. So I learned to camouflage it in my curriculum ("Researcher"), inserting it among work experiences and not as an education step. I came up with verbal virtuosity to make my interlocutors understand that many of the soft skills developed during a PhD are also useful in "real life": time management, problem solving, creativity, goal and result-oriented, (multilingual) public speaking, effective communication using various tools (Power Point first). And then, the most important skill of all: "boss management". I don't understand why nobody propose a course to learn it, it's such a complicated skill! And I had two bosses (aka Professors) to handle, that means at least double trouble. As for the hard skills, I am perfectly aware that a research about an obscure sixteenth century writer and philosopher from Padua is not particularly palatable for most companies. After all, this is not the purpose of a research of this kind – to give companies immediately useful tools. -
