Mosier Accomplishments: • Produced detailed insight into the decay of hydrolytic and per-hydrolytic activities of immobilized CALB on the epoxidation of novel varieties of soybean oil in batch conditions using the chemical characterization of oils and GC-FID (2018 - 2020) • Executed kinetic studies to elucidate the effect of the chemical composition of oil and the effectiveness of batch epoxidation using CALB using GC-FID (2020 - 2021) • Provided insight on the optimum epoxy ring opening conditions using acid-catalyzed processes for the synthesis of polyols from secondary alcohols and free fatty acids using Differential scanning calorimetry and HTGC-FID (2021 - 2022) • Evaluated the characteristics of estolides after self-polymerization of soybean polyols on aqueous acid conditions utilizing chemical characterization of functional groups and thermomechanical characteristics and viscosity index.
