Artemisinin is a compound isolated from the Chinese plant, Artemisia annua. It is mainly used as an antimalarial drug, but, aside from this activity, recent researches have shown that it intervenes in the proliferation and growth of cancer cells.Placed at the Laboratory Of Medicinal Chemistry, laboratory research has been conducted in terms of chemical synthesis of Artemisinin derivatives combined with bile acids in order to assess them as potential antineoplastic drugs.

In a friendly enviroment, I was able to both ameliorate my social and soft skills by getting in touch with multiple patients in need and, also, enhance my knowledge in pharmacology, this time in a empirical way.
