I am a junior in the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee and I am working toward earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Supply Chain Management and a collateral in International Business. I have always been self disciplined and organization is one of my strengths. Throughout my time in college, it has been imperative to have an organized schedule in order to ensure my academics and part time job were balanced. This organization and structure allowed me to maintain a high GPA, while also being successful at work. I am also a very self motivated individual and I strive to be better. I find myself looking up to others to push me to be better, whether that be in school or at work. By doing this, I have found myself to be more motivated to study and excel in school, while also striving to improve at work. This competitiveness that I have is another reason that I believe I have been able to maintain a high GPA while also maintaining a part time job throughout the school year. I am interested in helping people as best as I can in the business world. Since I was not interested in pursuing careers in the medical field, I tried to look into fields that were people oriented in some way. I landed on Supply Chain Management because I saw great opportunity in this field, but I also found it so interesting after seeing how the supply chain was impacted after COVID-19. The way people were without necessities made me realize how important and crucial this job is to everyone. I am also considering pharmaceutical sales for similar reasons. This career option made me feel like I would be directly helping people in need by getting them the medicines that could save lives. I am also interested in pharmaceutical sales because of the opportunity to interact with new people in new cities and learn about humankind and the world, as well as medications.
