My experience so far has broadened my knowledge as a biologist and improved my team working skills. During my Thesis in the department of Biology I became familiar with microbiology and molecular biology techniques. A strong point during my PhD was the ability to solve a scientific question. Working in the pharmaceutical industry as a CRA and a CTA, I improved my administrative, organization and communicational skills. My job in Elixis SA was a major challenge as I had to cope both with the set-up of a new biotechnology laboratory specialized in Genetics and at the same time I had to learn new molecular biology techniques. In INAB CERTH I became familiar with NGS techniques (particularly in MiSeq and NextSeq platforms of Illumina) and other molecular biology techniques used for analysing DNA and RNA. In Karyo Ltd I developed further my skills in Molecular Biology and quality control assurance.My motivation for work is the contribution to the amelioration of people's health and quality of life.
