I currently work as a Junior Researcher on a project focused on the production of scientific knowledge during the COVID-19 pandemic. This project aims to comprehend communication networks and map knowledge flows within the Greek scientific community.

From August 2021 to August 2023, I worked as a Social Scientist at the All Children in Education (ACE) project, funded by UNICEF-Hellas and implemented by SolidarityNow. As a Social Scientist for the ACE project, my role was dynamic, involving movement between various facilities accommodating asylum seekers, often located in camps. This opportunity exposed me to an array of diverse populations and backgrounds. After the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, I was trusted with the pivotal role of acting as the primary liaison between the Ukrainian community in Athens and our project. In this capacity, I established and nurtured a relationship of trust with the community, serving as their main point of contact. Additionally, from October 2022 to June 2023, I assumed the role of overseeing and supporting the 'Healing Trauma Through Play' (Healing Play) project, a collaborative effort between SolidarityNow, the UTechLab of the Eugenides Foundation, and funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs through the American Spaces program. My responsibilities within this project encompassed a wide array of tasks, including promoting activities through various media channels, participant outreach, activity coordination, oversight, record-keeping, and comprehensive reporting of all implemented activities.

As a Child Protection Officer in the Safe Zone of Drama, my job, among my other responsibilities, is working directly in the field and being the person of reference for the children facilitated in the Safe Zone, maintain regular contact with them, overviewing their psychosocial performance, and tracking down their particular needs. In close collaboration with the team of Social Services, I address and carry out their best interests, using a child-centred approach. During the time I have been working at the Safe Zone, my team and I have been strongly encouraged to take initiative and work simultaneously collectively and independently. This framework allowed me to organize and carry out various activities for the children accommodated in the Safe Zone, with the support of my contacts of volunteers. In liaison with other organizations, I have also organized training for the staff members of the Safe Zone, concerning matters and challenges of our daily professional reality, aiming to ensure the best case management and the smooth functioning of the Safe Zone.

Having worked for “Art Core Cooperative Art Café and multiplex space for art” for six years, I had the opportunity to organize, along with my colleagues, multiple artistic and intellectual activities such as small exhibitions, performances, seminars, and lectures. Over the years of participation at Art Core, I had a key role in the organization and business communication. As I have worked intensively on collaborative projects, for academic and professional purposes, I had the chance to work in diverse groups, coexisting and cooperating with different people, producing collaborative projects, thus, I have greatly developed communication skills as much as the ability to work in team projects.

During my graduate studies, I have worked as a co-organizer for seminars and lectures, in which I have also presented my academic work, mainly focused on gender studies and diversity politics. As a conference coordinator, I have gained experience in organizing and managing both the participants and the central tasks of these events. After I graduated from graduate school, I co-organized the 1st International Data Stories Conference, working as a liaison officer and a social media specialist. Along with other responsibilities, my job included communication with the participants, accommodation arrangements, social media management, and press releases.

In the fourth year of my undergraduate studies, I accomplished practical training in the Therapy Center for Dependent Individuals (KETHEA). During my two-month training, I was introduced to the program, and I was encouraged by my supervisors to actively participate in the self-help groups. After my training in KETHEA, I continued working as a volunteer for the Therapy Center for another two months, providing my help in any given task. My experience in KETHEA taught me the importance and the sensitivity of working with vulnerable groups, respecting their needs and being their person of reference.
