Social ScientistSolidaritynow Aug 2021 - Aug 2023Central Athens, Attiki, GreeceFrom August 2021 to August 2023, I worked as a Social Scientist at the All Children in Education (ACE) project, funded by UNICEF-Hellas and implemented by SolidarityNow. As a Social Scientist for the ACE project, my role was dynamic, involving movement between various facilities accommodating asylum seekers, often located in camps. This opportunity exposed me to an array of diverse populations and backgrounds. After the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, I was trusted with the pivotal role of acting as the primary liaison between the Ukrainian community in Athens and our project. In this capacity, I established and nurtured a relationship of trust with the community, serving as their main point of contact. Additionally, from October 2022 to June 2023, I assumed the role of overseeing and supporting the 'Healing Trauma Through Play' (Healing Play) project, a collaborative effort between SolidarityNow, the UTechLab of the Eugenides Foundation, and funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs through the American Spaces program. My responsibilities within this project encompassed a wide array of tasks, including promoting activities through various media channels, participant outreach, activity coordination, oversight, record-keeping, and comprehensive reporting of all implemented activities. -
