Welcome to my profile! ☺️I am a scientific illustrator and live event illustrator with a passion for scientific communication and company strategy. That means.. If I could have drawn my "About", I would have preferred that!🔬 I have a background in Biotechnology (I used to work in a wetlab - investigating new biomarkers for the adenocarcinoma in lungs) and in Computational Biology ( from the bench to the desk - working with big data and different omics, especially metagenomic). 💻 I have been a bioinformatician for a while, working on microbiome and metabolism, then moved to teaching and organising events related with digital health and data science for PhD students and researchers at the University of Copenhagen.✍🏼 Drawing has been a constant in my life, and in every job I've had, I've tried to incorporate my illustrations to explain different concepts in a more digestible way and tell stories about data and biology.After working two jobs for some years, I decided to open my own business, and I've been a full-time illustrator since January 2024. It's been an exciting journey!I want to help scientists to explain their research!What I love about my job? I love interviewing scientists, learning about new research topics and helping them seeing their research in a different way.I love getting to know the speakers in conferences, seeing their presentations and the improvisation and the focus of the moment.What I do in my job?➡️ Live drawing and Social management in conferences➡️ Courses and workshops for universities and industries➡️ Posters, covers, papers➡️ 1:1 Consultancy➡️ Talks ... I am always open to new ideas and initiatives!So far, as an illustrator:✔ Six internationally recognised scientific conferences✔ Creating over 180 live-drawings (I learnt a lot!) - increasing my clients social media impact ✔ Drawn the Nobel Prize for Chemistry 2022✔ Covers and Posters in recognised journals I am always eager to learn more about science, communication, information design and business.
