I am an experienced Senior Executive (Director and Chief Executive) and Non executive Director who has worked at board level in the NHS in a range of organisations (Provider, Commissioning and intermediate levels) at local and regional level for over 25 years. I have also sat on a range of committees and boards at national level. I have managed budgets circa £1.6billionPrior to the NHS I worked in the Private Sector- within Marks and Spencer PLC as part of their graduate management training programme and before that I started my career in Banking , working initially in North Wales and then in the City in LondonI have a wide experience of the NHS and a particular interest in the Productive series - LEAN thinking ; primary care contracting/commissioning (former national GMS negotiator) ; Setting up new organisations; transition management of old to new; large scale programme management ; women and children services ; safeguarding arrangements (children and adult) and quality and performanceI have a breadth of experience in the voluntary sector over 45 years, including being a Charity Trustee & over 24 years as a School Governor (primary & secondary), 8 years of which I was chair as well as hands on rolesNow retired from full time employment I enjoy time doing the things that are important to me - family, friends, voluntary work; travelling, walks, cooking, reading and yoga to name but a few.
