Upon being promoted to a Supervisor at Rudy's Pizza Napoletana in Didsbury, I have learnt how to open and close the venue, deal with the sales and costs in relation to the business and I have also taken on many new KPI responsibilities. Firstly, I am leading our charity work with the local community. So far, we have organised a donation of 30 pizzas and gift vouchers to a local carol service in aid of Didsbury Good Neighbours and The Christie. I was also in charge of setting up a food bank on site for Burnage Food Bank over Christmas. In April, a group of us will also be taking part in a running event to raise money for The Christie Charity. Another KPI of mine is to run the Rudy's Didsbury Facebook page, giving updates about all the ongoings on site. This has given me some great experience in relation to the marketing side of Rudy's Pizza Napoletana. I am also responsible for Front of House training and development, which has strengthened my leadership skills as part of the management team.

After an interview process, I have recently completed training and qualified to become a primary tutor at The Tutor Trust. This involves applying for assignments within schools, either in Maths or English and on a 1:1 or 1:3 basis. I am excited to begin working for The Tutor Trust to help close the attainment gap in education that has been extended due to the effects of COVID-19, as well as improve my experience within teaching to contribute towards a potential career pathway of mine.

Experience on main-bank checkouts, self service and departments on the shop floor highlights my versatile nature and reliability to help out in a variety of sectors. Being in charged of 6 self-service checkouts during a shift has particularly improved my multi-tasking abilities. I have developed a calm nature to handle any problems that may occur efficiently, such as technical or security issues. Within this role, I have learnt how to best engage with a variety of customers. I offer a friendly face and try to empathise with any enquiries customers may have to ensure they have a positive experience in store. 1 day off sick in 4 years and making sure I arrive on time to any given shift highlights both my commitment to the company, as well as strong organisational skills, both of which I would transfer to any role I take on.

So far, I have worked as a kiosk assistant at Stockport FC, a marshal for the Manchester Marathon and a cleaner in a hotel located in Manchester city centre. These experiences have improved my adaptability, i.e. working in different environments, as well as customer service skills.

During my time at The Cardinals Hatt, I developed strong organisation and communication skills, for example when taking multiple table orders and processing them on the till to send to the kitchen. I was dedicated to doing this quickly and efficiently, so that customers left feeling satisfied and attended to. I also improved my teamwork skills when working in a fast-paced environment, particularly during events, such as weddings and birthday parties. I would often work in a team to ensure that all tables were being served the correct order, the food was all being brought out at once and stock remained filled up. I valued my workplace, placing emphasis on retaining the menu and learning how to make various drinks to improve as an employee, a quality I would transfer to any role I take on in the future.
