ELESVEE offers Five Levels of vocal training within the recording arts, from beginners to professionals. All start the process though a short and free vocal assessment process in Gary Powell's Austin recording studio. All accepted singers meet in their appropriate level groups no larger than eight singers each, all levels taught with the recording studio environment. So, think of this as Yoga for vocalists. It's a deep discipline and wholly centered on our connection as singers within many musical genres, our vocalist colleagues, and our inner selves.

Outside of Gary Powell's catalog of work for Walt Disney Records, he has won five Gold Parent’s Choice Awards and one Silver Parent’s Choice Award for his work as producer for Joe Scruggs. Joe’s First Video, another Powell production, has won the National Parenting Publication Award, is a California Video Award winner and has been honored at the USA Film Festival. Powell’s production of Joe Scruggs’ song Bahamas Pajamas won the 1996 Cable Ace Award for “Best Original Song”. Gary also produced the entire catalog of albums and videos for Joe Scruggs and continues to contribute music and songs for the "Yakov Smirnoff Show" in Branson, Missouri.

The University of Texas Butler School of Music offers two degrees within the Music Industry; Music Business and Music Production. Having split my professional life between producing music as a composer/arranger and an educator, the offer to facilitate a thoughtful broadening of the Butler School's offering was impossible to turn down. I intend to expand my voice and experience to invite major universities into the creative and cultural conversation in terms of determining what we value in the popular arts. We all know the value of the classics. Let's help create the new classics where even the popular arts should have a voice.

Miramuse has several cultural events and musical productions under development at any one time. After identifying an idea that inspires us, we develop a business plan before deciding what projects we produce. The reward of working in a creatively open environment with our artists is not enough in and of itself. Our goal is to balance the both the objectives of Miramuse and the aspirations of our associate artisans.

Gary Powell's productions for Walt Disney Records have sold some 45 million albums across 69 countries with 147 album productions all produced in his Austin, Texas recording studio. His credits include scoring work, original songs and production as represented on Walt Disney’s storybook and song albums for The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Pocahontas, Toy Story, A Bug’s Life, Toy Story I & II, Dinosaur and Pirates of the Caribbean. In Powell’s work with Walt Disney Records, five of his productions have gone Gold and two Platinum. In 1999, Powell won a Grammy nomination along with co-producer Ted Kryczko for their production of Disney’s A Bug’s Life Sing Along. In 2001 Gary Powell was awarded the Award of Distinction from the both the Communicator Awards and Videographer Awards for his video production of “Gary Powell Presents….,” a behind-the-scenes look at the recording sessions for A Bug’s Life Sing Along.

After his seven-year tenure at the University of Texas at Austin, Powell has continued to train singers and performers who are currently working professionally across the country including Broadway, Disney World, Cruise ships, Hollywood and points in-between.

Temporary replacement for a teacher on faculty leave. Recruited by Forrest and Dorothy Goodenough, 30 year veterans and Co-chair of the Music Department. The position gave me insight to how music is perceived by observing and learning from blind musicians and gave me the gift of life-long mentors in Forrest and Dotty who have both died in 2004.

I was discovered by RCCL when singing in the Passenger Talent Show onboard the Song of Norway in 1978. One month later they offered me a job as an assistant Cruise Director. I studied humanity, celebrity and orchestration while having the time of my life. My relationship with Los Angeles began there having met Tom Coster, keyboardist for Carlos Santana, who invited my to come to San Francisco....which I did.

I served as choir director at the Goree Unit Women's Prison in Huntsville, Texas while working toward my Master of Arts degree in Choral Conducting at Sam Houston State University. Pat-downs, lock-downs, count mistakes, contraband searches, violence and a dozen locked cell blocks were everyday affairs.......but so was working with some of the most amazing singers I've ever heard. I was clearly the one being taught. It was two years of R&B school fo ME.
