In addition, the employee base was in excess of 50,000 for all internal communications. The communicators were from Bangkok, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Shanghai, Singapore, and Sydney. I developed pioneering market research activities for the region (which is called the Accor Asia Pacific Business Traveller Research). I directed the implementation of industry-leading sustainable development actions for the organization in the Asia Pacific (both social and environmental). I was responsible for communications integration between the global team and investor relations departments. All told, I grew the regional communications team threefold between 2008 and 2012, aligned with network growth and the increasing legitimacy of its function.
