I left everything I’ve ever known in the USA to start completely over from scratch in Nairobi, Kenya. Can I build a successful business on the other side of the world? No contacts, no community, no network, no frame of reference for how things are done or even what the business landscape looks like. I won’t even be able to call on any of my previous resources for various reasons:- They operate in a different time zone - They can’t fund international companies- They can’t practice law outside of the state, let alone outside of the country- They can’t manage my books because accounting rules are different there.”But I’m not too stressed. I enjoy hard things. - Graduating from the United States Military Academy at West Point.- Getting my MBA in International Management from UTEP while traveling to over 20 countries. - Launching and then leading a 1 million sq ft distribution center for Amazon.com with 750 employees, 30 managers, and shipping 1,000,000 packages a week. - Building an ecommerce startup from below $0 (started with credit cards) and generating over $50 million in revenue with that business. - Launching a 7 figure marketing agency from scratch that helped over 100 clients scale their businesses and helped more than 5 have their first million dollar month and more than 20 have their first million dollar year. So now it is time for the next challenge. Take all these lessons and experiences to figure out how to recreate that success in a completely different environment and culture. It’s gonna be great!
